Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the interior minister and chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has been invited to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Board meeting and Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final, both of which are set to take place in Ahmedabad next month.
A number of meetings, including the Chief Executives Committee (CEC) and Board meetings, are planned by the apex cricket body to continue discussions on the World Test Championship’s (WTC) future structure and direction.
The in-person Board meetings are scheduled for May 30 and 31 in Ahmedabad, while the CEC meeting will take place online on May 21. On May 31, the IPL 2026 final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
His participation was questionable, due to the conflicting relations between the two nations’ cricket boards and governments. The final decision has been left to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who will choose whether Mohsin Naqvi will fly to India to attend the meetings and the IPL 2026 final.
