Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies will soon surpass human intelligence, according to Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX, Tesla, and X (previously Twitter).
In response to a user’s posts on X, Elon Musk stated that AI technology will beat human intelligence, possibly by 2030 or 2031, within the next four to five years due to the rapid progress being made in AI technology. Additionally, he predicted that artificial intelligence (AI) would emerge as one of the important technologies that might revolutionize human history.
According to Musk, intelligent computers and humanoid robots will soon be able to carry out duties that are currently performed by humans. He claims that AI-powered devices will increase innovation, simplify manufacturing, and lower the cost and increase accessibility of services.
Elon Musk had previously stated, “I don’t know what will happen in ten years, but considering the speed at which AI technology is progressing, I think by the end of this year AI will become smarter than any human being,” during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2026.
He predicted that robotics and AI will cause previously unheard-of economic growth and that human-like robots would soon be everywhere.
Elon Musk claims that if all goes according to plan, humanoid robots will be available to the general public by the end of the next year, and numerous AI-powered robots will serve human needs.
He claims that everyone on the globe will need to adopt robots since they will decrease the need for human labor.
