IBI Beijing United Technology’s founder, president, and controlling shareholder, Qian Xiaojun, recently visited Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad with a high-level 11-member Chinese business delegation.

The delegation visited Pakistan as a follow-up to the Pak-China B2B Investment Conference held in Beijing in September 2025 during the prime minister’s visit.

While addressing to the delegation led by Qian Xiaojun, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his appreciation for IBI Group’s decision to establish its digital economy headquarters in Pakistan, stating that “The establishment of IBI’s Digital Economy headquarters in Pakistan would be a command center for digital transformation and shall provide massive opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan by offering a gateway for them to a vast Chinese market.

Additionally, the prime minister expressed satisfaction with the growing business-to-business (B2B) cooperation between China and Pakistan, saying it’s encouraging that IBI would promote digital economy cooperation, investment facilitation, and industrial collaboration.

Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, Minister of Investment; Jam Kamal Khan, Minister of Commerce; Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of IT; Ali Pervaiz Malik, Minister of Petroleum; Haroon Akhtar Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production; SAPM Tariq Fatemi, and other senior officials were also present at the meeting.

Welcoming the delegation, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and China enjoyed historic relations and are all-weather strategic cooperative partners. He praised China’s outstanding development under President Xi Jinping’s inspiring leadership and said he was looking forward to his visit to China at the end of this month.

Qian Xiaojun expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economy and stated that IBI intends to support Pakistan in creating a digital foundation for the country’s economic transition.
