Meta has declared an upgrade to its Accounts Center. This Accounts Center will now be called as Meta Accounts. Users will be able to access all of their Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp, from a single location. The aim of this change is to simplify the management of Meta accounts.
In addition to the apps, this system will enable users to access company devices, such as Meta Quest headsets and AI-powered spectacles.
Users will be able to control all app settings—including email addresses, linked accounts, and even the use of a single password across accounts—in one location with Meta Accounts.
Passkeys for WhatsApp will still be controlled within the WhatsApp app, itself.
The Meta Accounts dashboard will not include app-specific options, such as who may see your Facebook posts, which will stay inside each individual app.
Additionally, parents will be able to monitor their children’s accounts with the Meta Account’s parental control capabilities.
The company claims that customers will have complete control over the gadgets and apps they link to their Meta Account dashboard, and they may even set up distinct Meta Accounts for various uses.
According to the Meta, this update will be deployed gradually over the coming year.
