The passport of the Asian country Singapore has once again been ranked the most powerful passport in the world, according to the list released by Henley & Partners for July to December 2026. Singapore passport holders can travel to 192 countries without a visa, according to the list, published July 1.
The United Arab Emirates, Japan, and South Korea jointly got the second position, with passport holders enjoying visa-free access to 188 countries. According to the company, the United Arab Emirates passport has experienced the most rapid growth over the last decade. Its ranking increased by 40 positions in ten years, pushing it to second place worldwide.
Sweden ranked third, with a passport that allows visa-free entrance into 187 countries.
Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Netherlands, and Spain ranked fourth, providing a visa-free entry to 186 countries.
Greece, Austria, Malta, Portugal, and Switzerland passports jointly ranked fifth with visa-free entry to 185 countries.
Despite having been recognized as the most powerful passport in the world, the United States (USA) passport has fallen to 10th position in the rating.
Sri Lanka and Libya ranked 93rd, Eritrea in 94th, Palestine and Iran in 95th, North Korea and Bangladesh in 96th, Nepal in 97th, Somalia in 98th and Yemen in 99th place, above Pakistan.
The Pakistani passport ranked 100th, allowing visa-free entry into 30 countries and was found to be the fourth weakest in the world.
Iraq (101st), Syria (102nd), and Afghanistan (103rd) were ranked below Pakistan.
