Severe Weather Alert Issued Across Pakistan from April 18 to 23

A weather notice has been released by the NEOC outlining the circumstances that are expected in various regions of the country from April 18 to 23.

The report states that on April 18 and 19, upper and central Punjab will likely have rain, thunder, strong winds, and storms, with the possibility of hail in some areas. Rain with strong winds is predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Sargodha, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

The weather in southern Punjab will be mostly dry, however on April 18, 19, and 23, there may be some light rain.

On April 18, 19, 22, and 23, rain with thunder and high winds is expected in Balochistan’s northern and western districts, while light rain with strong winds is possible in coastal areas.

On April 19 and 20, rain, thunder, and dust storms are predicted in some parts of Sindh, but temperatures in a number of districts are probably going to stay above usual.

Strong winds and rain are predicted for the majority of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s districts, while certain locations in the upper areas may get snowfall.

Strong winds and heavy rain are predicted for April 18, 19, 22, and 23 in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, increasing the possibility of landslides.

Authorities have issued a warning that roads may turn slippery and that lightning, severe thunderstorms, and powerful winds might harm power installations and weak buildings.
