During a press conference in Makkah, commanders of the Hajj security forces reported that 1.518 million pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj from different countries.

They also disclosed that 30% of pilgrims arrived via the Makkah Route Initiative, adding that pilgrims are being helped along the way by modern technology.

It is worth mentioning that millions of worshippers offered Friday prayers in the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) on the first Friday of Dhul-Hijjah. During his sermon, Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly, the Imam of the Kaaba, emphasized the qualities and spiritual significance of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.
