This year, Pakistan is expected to send 179,210 pilgrims for the Hajj, with more than 119,000 of them traveling under government Hajj Scheme.
On April 18, Pakistan began operating flights before to the Hajj. So far pilgrims have left Pakistan for Madinah from Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Sialkot, Multan, and other cities.
According to the Pakistani Religious Affairs Ministry, around 10,000 pilgrims from Pakistan arrived in Madinah this week as the country’s pre-Hajj flying operations began.
Abdul Wahab Soomro, Pakistan’s Director General for Hajj, and other authorities visited Pakistani pilgrims at their residences in Makkah and inquired them about the arrangements.
According to the Pakistani government, Hajj facilitates have been supplied to the main control office in Makkah to help pilgrims with transportation, food, and other facilities during their stay.
The ministry said that, “All resources are being utilized to provide every possible facility to Pakistani Hajj pilgrims so that they can perform their religious duties in a peaceful environment.”
According to Islamabad, the country’s pre-Hajj flights are expected to operate smoothly till May 21.
