According to Indian media, the legendary singer Asha Bhosle, was hospitalized to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday when her health dropped. According to medical reports, she died from multiple organ failure.
Zanai Bhosle, her granddaughter, posted news of her hospitalization on the X, social media platform. she stated in her post that ” My grandmother, Asha Bhosle due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection has been admitted to hospital and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively.“
According to Anand Bhosle, the singer’s son, her final rituals will take place tomorrow evening.
In recognition of her remarkable contribution to music, she was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award (India’s highest award in the field of cinema, given by the Government of India) in 2000 and Padma Vibhushan Award (third-highest civilian award in India) in 2008.
Her passing is being mourned across India and around the world, with fans, artists, and celebrities paying tribute to a voice that influenced generations.
