US and Iran failed to reach an agreement during negotiations in Islamabad. But neither side has declared the end of negotiations.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance left Islamabad after announcing that no deal had been made with Iran. He said that a final offer had been made and it’s unclear whether Iran will accept it. According to him, Iran rejected the demands made by the USA. The United States made clear, its red lines as well as the areas where flexibility was possible and where it was not.

He added that they did not see Iran making a firm promise to not produce nuclear weapons in the future.

The U.S. Vice President expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Field Marshal for their outstanding efforts. He continued by saying that the US worked hard to settle disputes and come to an agreement with Iran. Iran and the US agreed on several issues, but there were still two or three points of disagreement. He highlighted that diplomacy is an ongoing process.

In an interview with Iranian media, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei, stated that doubts and questions persist despite the fact that the negotiations took place following a 40-day war forced on Iran. He claimed that neither Iran nor anyone else expect a settlement at a single meeting.

According to Iranian official media, the United States’ excessive demands restricted the development of an Agreement. During the negotiations, the disagreements persisted on issues such as nuclear problems and Iran’s nuclear rights.

While both sides are still dedicated to maintaining a ceasefire, it is hoped that the United States and Iran will continue to adopt a positive approach and work toward establishing lasting peace and prosperity.
