On April 29, 2025, the first Group of Pakistani Pilgrims will Depart for the Hajj

On April 29, 2025, Pakistani pilgrims will begin their holy Hajj 2025 journey. All preparations for pilgrims’ departure under the government Hajj program have been completed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

Flight Operations

Six flights are scheduled for the opening day, including departures from Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Multan. A total of 342 flights will transport approximately 89,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia over 33 days, concluding on May 31. The initial flights will primarily land in Madinah, with subsequent arrivals in Makkah.

Road to Makkah Initiative

The “Road to Makkah” program is being carried out in order to speed up the immigration procedure. Through this scheme, pilgrims can finish their immigration processes at Pakistani departure airports, cutting down on wait times when they arrive in Saudi Arabia. At the airports in Islamabad and Karachi, special counters have been set up, and Saudi immigration officials are on hand to help with the procedure. This program will help about 50,500 pilgrims, with 28,000 leaving from Islamabad and 22,500 from Karachi.

Private Hajj Scheme Quota

Despite an initial capacity of 90,830, only 23,620 pilgrims from Pakistan will be able to complete the Hajj in 2025 under the Private Hajj Scheme. Approximately 67,210 registered private pilgrims will not be able to make the journey this year due to this shortage. Pilgrims can check their application status and contracts, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Pak Hajj mobile application and the official portal.

Preparations for Pilgrims

To guarantee the seamless facilitation and safety of pilgrims, all relevant departments have worked together. To finalize arrangements, pre-Hajj meetings have been held at the airports in Peshawar, Multan, and Islamabad. Before departing, pilgrims are advised to make sure all paperwork is in place and to be updated via official channels.

As the first group of Pakistani pilgrims embarks on this spiritual journey, the nation extends its prayers for their safe travel and the successful completion of their Hajj rituals.
